Films

Each of these film is a journey in motion – moments of flight stitched into stories of land, sea, and sky. These recordings give you a glance into the perspective I gain as the world drifts beneath my wing.

Mount Siguniang, August 2025
Mount Siguniang lies tucked deep between the mountains of Sichuan Province, a place of stillness and tradition.

I had the pleasure of visiting in August of 2025 as part of my travels in and around Chengdu, and managed to capture a few vignettes of what I saw.
Chongqing, December 2024
Chongqing stands at the meeting of the Jialing and Yangtze rivers, a city of endless hills and bridges strung like threads of light across the Yangtze.

In contrast to neighbouring Chengdu and Kunming, Chongqing pulses with restless energy – neon spilling over the skyline, streets alive with movement, and the scent of hotpot rising through the night air.

May this glimpse carry a trace of its mist and fire, a city forever rising from the rivers.
Lago Maggiore, July 2024
Lago Maggiore stretches like a silver mirror between the shoulders of the Alps, its waters shimmering with a quiet grandeur.

Having just returned from Kunming in the Far East, my travels led me to the heart of Piedmont, where vineyards climb the hillsides and trattorias fill the air with the scent of wine, cheese, and slow afternoons.

On Lago Maggiore, boats traced gentle lines across the water as the Borromean Islands rise like jewels from the lake’s silver surface.
Kunming, June 2024
Kunming rests between mountain ridges and the wide sweep of Dianchi Lake, a city where sky and water seem to meet.

My first time in China since 2019, I visited in June 2024, and what I encountered surprised me deeply – a wonderful city where cultures blend into a melting pot of cuisines, art, and languages. More relaxed than other cities I had known, Kunming welcomed me with open arms, and I loved it so much that I returned a few months later.

I hope this film conveys even a fraction of the brightness, warmth, and spirit that I found there.

About Me

Hi, I’m Samuel – a Politics and Economics student who’s endlessly curious about people, places, and ideas. I learn languages, chase new cultures, and film the world as I see it – always searching for fresh perspectives from the ground and the sky.
